I’m Sandra, a scholar in New York. Follow along with me for a look into a typical day in my life.
Each morning, I wake up at 6:00 AM to get ready for the day. I make sure to leave myself plenty of time in the morning to prepare for school. Typically, I leave my house around 7:25 AM to take the short walk. Once I arrive, I prepare my phone envelope and place my phone in the bins before going through scanning.
One of my favorite classes is Global History. I’ve enjoyed learning about the trials that countries go through during different periods, and how they’ve transformed over time.
Lunch is always a great time to relax and take a break from the rush of classes and work. I like to bring a small snack to keep my energy up throughout the day. My friends and I enjoy catching up, as often we don’t see each other the rest of the day.
When I come home from school, the first thing I do is sit down and get started on my homework. I always do my work in my room at my desk, where I have my computer and textbooks. I like to sit by the window and often come up with my best ideas from this spot.
Whenever my friends and I get to hang out, we usually go to the school field if the weather is nice. It’s nice to spend time together outside of school, as often we don’t see each other during the school day. It’s always nice to relax and have fun with people I love.
I’ve recently taken up a kickboxing class with one of my best friends. The classes are three days a week and I love getting active and learning self-defense, a great life skill.
At the end of the day, I like to come home and do some reading after my shower. Though every class is important to my future success, I prefer science because I am pursuing a career as a pediatrician.
And that’s a wrap! Thanks for following along on a day in my life.
