The Give Back staff is excited to welcome Chabe Acosta to our team. Before joining Give Back, Chabe worked for universities and national and international nonprofit organizations. Her career has been focused on managing educational projects, event planning, research, and data evaluation. She currently serves as a Program Manager for Give Back, New York Chapter. Chabe received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Master of Arts in Global Development and Social Justice from St. John’s University.

“As a first-generation college graduate and advocate for postsecondary success, I connected with Give Back’s mission of empowering youth facing hardships through access to a college education and mentorship,” Chabe notes. Her own economic hardships during her college years have made her passionate about education and social justice. “My education has taken me places I could never have dreamed of.  I dared to dream and it’s now a reality. I want the same for our scholars. I hope my work can help our students strive for their goals.”

When not at work, Chabe enjoys spending time with her family and dog, Lucky, and traveling with her partner.

Welcome to the team, Chabe!
