Chad Carr

Chad Carr serves as Chief Financial Officer and Chief of Staff at Give Back, a national nonprofit dedicated to helping Pell Grant-eligible students gain access to college and career opportunities. Give Back provides scholarships, mentorship, and career readiness support to ensure that students not only get to college, but through college and into meaningful careers.
Chad brings over 30 years of experience in software and consulting to his role. He began his career in sales at his parents’ boutique accounting software firm, later purchasing and expanding the business to serve a broader set of industries and clients. In 2017, Chad joined Give Back founder Bob Carr at Beyond, where he oversaw operations for several recently acquired software companies.
In 2021, Chad began supporting the launch of Give Back Careers, a program aimed at equipping students with the tools and connections needed for successful transitions from college to career. A year later, he transitioned full-time to Give Back, taking on the role of Chief of Staff and overseeing the organization’s business operations, finance, and human resources.
Earlier in his career, Chad spent four formative years as a wilderness instructor working with adjudicated youth in a long-term, residential treatment and diversion program. Returning to youth-focused work through Give Back has been a full-circle moment—blending his early passion for service with his decades of leadership and operational expertise.
