The Delaware Scholarship Process

To qualify for the Give Back scholarship program, student applicants need to be Pell Grant eligible. As a general guideline, if your student qualifies for a lunch subsidy program, your household may be eligible for a Pell Grant.

During your ninth grade year:

  • OCTOBER Attend a mandatory information session and complete the Give Something Back Interest Form.  Completing the form is critical for letting Give Something Back know that you are interested in the scholarship and want us to keep you informed of your application status.
  • BEFORE February 28TH, 2021 Complete the Giveback Eligibility Calculator to determine your financial eligibility (see link below).  If you meet the financial requirements, Give Back will ask you to complete an online application. This includes essays, recommendations, report cards and more.
    The Giveback Eligibility Calculator and subsequent application is administered by Kaleidoscope.

  • BEFORE April 1st, 2021
    If you meet the financial requirements, Give Back will ask you to complete an online application.
    The online application can be found at https://www.giveback.ngo/gsbapplication.  You will need to have the first two steps above completed and have received an invitation to apply.
    The application includes essays, recommendation letters, report cards and more.
    The online application is due April 1st, 2021
  • May 2021
    After evaluation, you may be asked to attend an in-person interview. All applicants will be notified of the Give Back selection committee’s decision by June, 2021.
